Please Help With Our Current Food Drive

Can you please help out with our current food drive. We need people to donate non perishable foods to help feed the hungry people of Cleveland County.

We would like to ask you to ask your family, friends and co workers to gather together non perishable foods and when you get them gathered together call Thomas at 704-473-9972 or call Carolyn at 704-466-1643 to arrange for pick up of the food items.

Or you can drop your items off at 114 Wells Road in Fallston behind Stamey's Funeral Home, Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM through 5 PM daily.

The Great Bread Adventure

On Friday we drove two hours to pick up 500 loafs of bread to feed the poor and hungry of Cleveland County. Along the way I think we only lost three loafs of bread so we arrived back in Shelby with 497 loafs and the bread was used to feed many hungry people. As you can see from the photos we did indeed have a lot of bread and we want to thank Flowers Bakery and Dale Mull for providing this bread to the people of Cleveland County.

The Great Salad Adventure

Yes let me tell you about the great Salad Adventure. Last Friday a local company donated a pallet of Mixed Salad Greens and we had quite a adventure delivering the boxes of salad greens to the Homeless Shelters and to the Waco Boys Home. We snapped a couple of photos of the truck and the house and boys in the photo is the Waco Boys Home. We donated part of the salad greens to them and the rest to the Homeless Shelter. If you have never driven thru Cleveland County with boxes of salad greens falling off you have never lived. But we finally did get all the salad greens delivered and hopefully made a lot of people happy.

On Monday night we were able to take a huge amount of potato chip products to the Waco Boys Home and then tonight Wednesday night we took a huge amount of Potato Chips , Frozen Foods , Beef Jerky and a nice commercial Microwave to the Homeless Shelters.
